Question #1:

Are the Craigslist "Adult" section just police stings these days?

Back in the day, the ads seemed like they were more legitimate (back when that section of the site was labeled "erotic") I mean, I'm not interested or advocating prostitution. I just don't get how the ads could be legitimate when: (A) Craigslist has taken a lot of heat since the "Craigslist Killer," and (B) since prostitution is illegal in the U.S.

Question #2:

If I create erotic website with my own art and google ads for making money, will I have any law problems?

(I do NOT want to create hentai, homo, lesbo, pedo, fetish style works!!!)
I just wander if I have to do something or infor some one before, to make sure that my website will not be blocked.

I see so many answers on here telling women that men watching porn is natural and an expected part of life and they have to be able to see it or they will die (lol). Before the internet exploded with it, it really wasn't. Sure, the old man had his Playboy and maybe Hustler and Juggs, but those were tucked away, not shoved in the wife's face. The films back then were something to hide not be swapped with everyone on our email list. Yes, there have been erotic objects and art from the earliest days, oddly enough usually connected to religion, but now it's gotten to a point where people who don't like porn or question their SO's looking at it are told they are wrong or bad somehow.

Sex is shoved in our faces so much with ads, movies, internet clips. amateur porn...it's literally everywhere we look. What happened? It's like an over abundance of it. I, myself, am a swinger and occasionally look at erotic photos, I'm definitely not repressed or inhibited, but most pornography turns me off and makes me uncomfortable.

So, the question is : Why has porn become so accepted as part of everyday life and why isn't it all right for people to say, "I don't like that/ I don't want my spouse watching it/ it makes me uncomfortable"?

Is it illegal for someone to put someone elses home phone number on a website and say it is a prostitutes #?

this guy i refuse to go out with is extremely mental...he took my very sick mother's home phone number and went on craigslist and posted an ad under his craigslist account (he uses CL to sell car parts) he posted under adult/erotic services. he said "hot mommy looking for action" put up my photo, and put things i would do and a dollar amount. then put my MOM'S home number and a fake name. we received about 20+ calls within the hour. he said he did not do it, then finally told me through email it was him and a friend, i saved the emails...is this illegal? or is it ok to do things like this to people?

Is this guy really looking for casual dating or is he ready for a relationship?

Im busy focusing on my career so I posted an ad for fun on a casual site, stating i wanted to go out for dinner & drinks and that i was not married so I was available for a good time. However my photo was a bikini photo. Not expecting much. I received several responses but one stood out. His response was very classy, offering dinner and drinks. He is mid 30s, with a child not married. After a few emails back anfd forth things got a litlte graphic, very flirty and erotic. We both were open to something sexual and fun. We set a date for the weekend. However we continued to email eachther all day. He asked me to call him & i told him that would be a bit strange for our casual situation and that phone convo etc was mostly a relationship/couple thing. However he coached me into calling him. When i called, I was surprised, we ended talking for like 6 hrs. i explained to him how we could cancel until we got our STD test done, for safety. He said no he didnt want to cancel and that he was patient. Well we had our date, he was on time and dressed sharply. We went to a nice italian resteraunt unlike apple bees or the casuals. The conversation flowed on everything from politics to our craziest relationship moment etc. He did mention marriage related things or things refering to his future wife more than once. He's also mentioned he's had his share of women and was more selective. Things did get a little heated and there was a little touching but nothing too sexual. After dinner & drinks, I offered to pay my half, he declined and payed with no problem. I told him to just wait for me at the door, i had to use the bathroom, we had parked on the back side of the resteraunt, so when i had come he was pulled up at the front door for me. After a little ride around, and a little flirting, he took me home an hour prior to the time I had told him i'd like to be in. & we had a very exciting and sensual tounge kiss before I got out the car. I realized that I'd forgotten to say thank you so i emailed him this morning simply saying thank you and for the nice time and have a great day. he responded within 30 minutes and said Your welcome and have a nice day too. Ok here's the delimna. Ive had a casual fling before, and the guy was not trying to get to know me like this current one. We did not talk on the phone for 6 hrs and he was crying bout the bill at the resteraunt trying to get a discount from the manager. Im completely throwed on this one. Ofcourse Im going to wait on his next move, but Is this odd for a casual situation? Guys is this how you'd treat your cut buddy's or is this odd? I think im more concerned because he's treating it like a relationship and Id hate to hurt his feelings.

im 22 now and so is he. we have known each other for 3 years. ive done everything i can for him to be a good friend and ive been very supportive and understanding despite the fact that he has screwed me over many time. ive helped him when he was at his lowest low. in september of this year one of his "female friends" got into his email account got my information and posted an ad on craigslist for erotic services with my info. as a way to get back at me for having been in his contact list since apparently they were getting engaged which he denies. i had to call the police because he refused to tell her to take the ad down claiming he didnt know how to get a hold of her..........
when the police officer followed up with me he said that the guy told him he wants nothing to do with me at all and he called me himself and told me he didnt love me at all.
i was there for him for years and he turned this into him being the victim and told me he was done with me...its been since the second week in september and no word from him at all. he hasnt responded to my 3 emails nothing at all. will he ever come around....and realize that he is not the victim here and to just be civil after all the time we;ve known each other?

Can a cop use a fake telephone conversation as evidence for prostitution in Texas?

On October 20, 2008 I had a undercover cop come to my house. He called me earlier that day and asked for an appointment. I do erotic body rubs for men. There was no more said on the phone because I assumed he got my phone number from the ad. This happened to be on a quiet Sunday afternoon around 3:00PM. I’ve been accepting clients between 3-6PM for a few months. I started this part time several months earlier to make enough money to pay off credit cards which it has done that for me. When the police officer came in my house, I asked him what his occupation was and he told me he did construction work traveling from San Antonio to Austin in installing underground cables. He acted very nervous and said he had some eyeglasses that broke so he had an upset stomach. He gave me $100 which I did put in my pocket and I gave him a rubdown with lotion on his back and legs for thirty minutes. Then he got a call on his cell phone and said he had to go outside to get some medicine for his stomach. I heard some noise at the front door so I got my clothes on over the lingerie I was wearing. When I got to the front door, a Travis County officer said I was under arrest for prostitution and handcuffed me. There was no mention what so ever between the undercover officer about paying me money for sex. Now if this was an arrest for prostitution, shouldn’t there have been a conversation about money for sex? In fact, the officer brought several officers from the SWAT team since he assumed that I was dealing drugs and had fire arms. He also did an illegal search of my house for those and found none. This happened because of a call from a neighbor lady complaining of “traffic” in front of my house on several Sunday afternoons. I never completely stop. I just manage to fake that I do for different doctors and people. I used to cut, but I stopped that for awhile and started smoking then putting the cig butts out on myself, I have AD-HD, And Im Queer..I think that could have something to do with it? Erotic fiction, actually. I actually found a few, but installing wordpress is like pulling teeth. Their SQL databases don't work right, or they don't allow FTP access, etc etc. Also, I don't mind dealing with ads in trade for server space, but enormous ads that take up a quarter of the screen and move with you when you scroll are straight out.

Above all, there are lots of non-verbal communication codes happening in the advertisement such as: facial expressions ( the way the women is looking at him is a sign that she wants him or she could be saying “come and get me”), gaze ( eye contact is a sign of passion and lust) and body contact ( a sign of high intimacy, makes you think of sex).

Furthermore, the advert is classified as a simple and compound advertisement because it relies on the picture to do the persuading and the ad is often found in hobby or special interest magazines where the relationship between the supplier and consumer is straightforward. Examples, Cosmopolitan, Cleo, Girlfriend/boyfriend, Zoo weekly, Ralph Laurne and dolly magazines.

Moreover, the target audience are men over 25-45 years of age with a steady income, a long with men who like to purchase 'brand products.' Calvin Klein used an interesting name for the cologne. He called it 'ESCAPE' and positioned the text in block white-writing just above the guy's face. The word 'ESCAPE' could be interpreted as “buy this cologne and you too could ESCAPE to forbidden lust.” or escape to paradise.

To summarise, the advertisement was delivering a statement that says the new ESCAPE cologne is lustful, sexy, daring, and confident. Moreover, its saying, purchase this product and make all your erotic dreams come true. By having to semi-naked models in the advert created a sensual illusion. Therefore, when people look at advertisement they think of sex.

How Do I Get Rid of Aggressive Pop-Ups?? PLEASE Help!?

My browser has been bombarding me with pop-up ads, but not the usual sort.

In the past, when I've been encumbered by these types of annoying ads, they'd appear as mini-windows that would show over the page I was viewing, and only with certain sites, like Webster's. Now, it's virtually every site I visit, from Nick Jr. to Wikipedia to Answers. My browser will begin to slow down and before I know it, I'll notice a series of windows open at the bottom of my screen on my task bar. Some loud and annoying, others very explicitly erotic. Many of them have me go through several confirmations before I can even close them out!

Needless to say, I'm outraged. I've set my firewall to high, set parental controls, and adjusted my anti-virus and spyware settings, but nothing is working. What else can I do?

Please help...thanks.

(I'm already using an Anti-Spyware program, and would rather not download another)

Thanks immensely to everyone who contributed, all of your advice was very helpful to know. Unfortunately, nothing worked but a SYSTEM RESTORE, if anyone gets into a similar bind. So far, it seems to have alleviated the problem. But I did download both Spybot and Malwarebytes. I like the latter much better, so I uninstalled Spybot (thanks digital_nomad).
