Erotic books, gifts, stories etc. - erotic books Questions

Question #1:

Looking for a book about erotic photography from the 1980s?

It was in Walden books in the photography section, and it had cheese cake shots from various men's magazines. It had info about lighting, framing and such, but lots of pictures of women. The book was large, at least 12 to 14 inches tall, and had a black binding. I hope this won't get me banned, but I'd love to find this book after all these years.
It could be Gabor's book, but I don't think it was the one. It seemed a little more modern and slick than the book seems to be. I'd have to get my hands on a copy and flip through. Thanks though.

Question #2:

advice on my first chapter?

The book I'm writing is erotic/paranormal, and this is my first chapter. *Warning: it contains sexual content, if you're not comfortable with that, I suggest you leave this q. now!*

Question #5:

Good quotes for the back cover of a novel?

One of my writer friends is getting his manuscript published and needs quotes from readers to be featured on inside of the book sleeve. He has asked me to come up with something to be quoted. I haven't read the whole novel, just bits and peaces of it through various stages. Any ideas for what I could say? He just said to come up with something short and simple. The following is a short synopsis;

An undeniable cult classic in the making, JW Collier keeps you engrossed from Chapter one. It is a combination spiritual/erotic thriller with non-stop page turning action. A contemporary twist on the classic story of good and evil. Opposing Energies succeeds, building a deep story of relationships and triumph in the face of unspeakable odds. You’ll wish you were invited to be a part of the team.

Any quote ideas would be appreciated!!!

Question #6:

I need advice - men and women -?

I really wonder if I will ever feel sexually satisfied anymore. :(
Its been 2.5 years after we met - we got married 1 year ago --- it all went down hill and I cannot get it back. This has been this way since when we got married --- almost exactly to the day. We are/were very sexual people and sex was a big, fun, deal in the beginning ---- then, something changed.

I have done all that I can to try to understand why/how my relationship to sex COMPLETELY changed when I got married........my husband said his did too - but he got "over it" after a while and says he is happy with our sex life - and our marriage in general with minor issues which he has faith we will work out.

I am not happy with my sex life AT ALL. I vascilate between two extremes ----
a. I either have so much anxiety that I cannot get horny at all when it comes down to "the moment"
or
b. I WANT to get horny but I feel like I need more help than I used to --- and he isn't giving me what I need.

I have tried everything, read books, etc. -- I am not on any hormonal contraceptives, I am 35, no issues --- healthy, etc.

. My kind and wonderful husband --- told me politely that at this point he is so frustrated that he loves me and is tired of hearing about my issues and basically doesn't mind masturbating alone until I figure it out.

I dont' think he understands that HE is 1/2 the problem.

I feel like when he is with me --- that he is disconnected and passionless. I feel like he will perform foreplayish things if I ask --- but otherwise would rather just "stick in in".
I honestly dont' feel like the man even WANTS to touch my breasts. And when he does --- I feel now that it is totally obligatory, like he is goign down a checklist of things to do. I dont' feel like he really enjoys my body. I have told him this --- he denies it --- and tells me he has no idea what else to say/do to convince me....

I frankly MISS feeling like a sex object to someone. I miss feeling like someone wants to rip my clothes off and ravage me. I feel almost like why do I want to ask for him to touch me if I honestly dont' feel like he wants it? I feel like the only way I can have sex with my husband successfully --- and really feel horny is if I watch porn or read erotic stories BEFOREHAND and then just time it when he gets home. :(

Is this an intimacy issue? Is it me? Is it in my head? Please someone help me --- I love this man, but I have to figure this out.

Advice --- help? thank you so much in advance.

Question #12:

Cant remember the name of a werewolf book set in the victorian era...?

I have been searching for a book I read when I was younger. It entails a story of werewolves. One man has a human girl along with him and it is a very erotic romantic book. He keeps her by his side and when he finds his mate he bonds with her leaving the human girl to fend for herself. She eventually becomes exiled along with this man's brother. It ends with this human girl bonding with the exiled brother and going crazy because of this magical bond that she cant withstand. But she does have a child. The book begins in the present and leads to the telling of how the human/werewolf child came to be. I know this is really confusing but I am desperate to find this book. If you have any clue as to what I am talking about or any advice as to how I would search for it please let me know!

Question #14:

best erotic vampire novels, nothing like twilight?

in the midst of all the twilight knockoffs it's hard to find a good erotic vampire novel. as if that wasn't bad enough, a lot of the books i've seen online are about same sex couples or group sex. i simply want an erotic vampire novel, where the male is a vampire, the female is human, and there's no third party that has to be entertained to put it nicely. any suggestions?
to Meow ^_^: thanks, i read a little about one of these books earlier, it seems like the direction i'm going to go in.

to DarkWaver: I added you to my contacts so as soon as i do i'll let you know. if it wasn't for that d*** twilight series, wearing black would be as "uncool" as it was a few years ago. myself, i was sucking blood before it was cool lmao!

Question #18:

Anyone know any book reviewers?

So here's the thing.

I've recently had a book published ( Click Here ) and I'm looking for reviews. The majority of the review sites I've visited are for erotic romance with a happily-ever-after.

Great. My book is dark fantasy/tragedy with no onscreen sex.

So does anyone know some good reviewer sites that aren't for erotica and don't require HEA?

Question #20:

Can someone recommend a good dark romance novel, fitting this criteria?

Okay, I'm a slow reader, but I do enjoy reading. But I'm a really picky reader and I'll only read a book if the book really gets my attention.

At the moment, I'm nearing the end of Wuthering Heights, which I'm really in love with. So now, I'm searching for another book for me to read.

I want it to be a romance, just because I tend to enjoy them more. But I don't want it to be a really cheesy storyline or a full on erotic novel. I want it to be dark, but I don't want any mythical creatures involved. I'm sick to death of vampires, werewolves, ghosts or anything else that's considered supernatural. I was interested in Twilight, but as I read on in the series, I completely bored of it when I noticed that every book was technically the same. I want something that is literal and believable. Like Wuthering Heights. I loved Heathcliffe. His character is so dark and cold, yet he loved Catherine dearly.

I was almost interested in the sound of 'Dancing With The Devil' by Keri Arthur. The first part of the description I read sounded really interesting and non-mythical. But the mention of vampires completely lost the plausability for me.

I think that's enough information. Please, respond.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; I'm a very picky reader. But if you answer this question, then thank you in advance.
